New Feature: Per Product Listings

Cratejoy is upgrading the way your Marketplace listings work! With our new Per Product Listing feature you will be able to create multiple Marketplace listings — all from one Seller account.

Currently, each store has one listing and all products must be on the same listing.

With this new feature, each store can have products separated out on multiple, individual listings. We’re putting the power into your hands to make the decisions that work best for your business!

Whether you have a new idea for a subscription box or multiple products that each need a separate listing, you can grow your business—without the hassle of creating multiple accounts—with this new feature!

Here are some benefits of this new feature:

Maximize the reach of your business

  • Each high-quality listing can be marketed to reach a specific audience + more chances to get featured by Cratejoy in special promotions, sales, and PR opportunities

Potential customers can find each listing quickly and easily

  • Individual listings means less confusion for your customers and more sales for your business!

Each Product Listing can be designed with a target customer in mind

  • One of our sellers (Kevin Black, Adults & Crafts Crate) recently told us “If you’re selling to everybody, you’re selling to no one!” We can’t agree more. Narrow your focus and know your audience.

Merchandise the right information with Product Listings

  • What you put in front of your audience is the key to making sure you’re converting page views to sales.

How to Use Product Listings

We’ll be releasing this new feature in phases to all of our sellers based on the unique needs among Marketplace sellers.

If you’ve been selected to upgrade: check out your new Per Product Listings page. You’ll be able to create individual listings for every product that you offer.

We’ll also be having a live event soon so that you can ask the Cratejoy Team any questions you may have about this new feature. Stay tuned for more information on our Product Listings Office Hours session!

New confirmation messages for address changes and additions

We will be rolling out an update to storefront customer account pages on Friday, September 4th. When customers add a new address or update an existing address, a success message will be displayed on the address list informing customers to also update their active subscriptions with the updated address if need be.

Example Messaging:

Small Update to Revenue by Product Reporting

We just rolled out an update to the Revenue by Product report. Now instead of reporting on the number of orders, this report will measure the number of items sold in two columns: 'Units Sold: New Orders' and 'Units sold: Renewal Orders'

Marketplace Feature Update: Editing Customer Payment Info

We've got great news! Starting this week, your Marketplace customers can now edit their payment info on their account page.

This feature was rolled out to storefront customers last week, so now all your customers -- no matter what channel they used to subscribe -- will have this flexibility!

This update ensures that your customers will be able to access all the credit cards they have on file with your business -- and remove any expired card data. Previously, customers could access and edit the info for only their most recently-added card.

This feature will reduce support burden for you by no longer requiring you reach out to Cratejoy support when a customer requests the removal of outdated card records. Now, your customer can remove these records on their own, or you can log in as the customer through your seller portal to remove the requested records.

Questions? We're here to help you succeed. Send us an email at support@cratejoy.com.

Revenue Report by Day

We’ve updated our Revenue Report by Day tool to make it simple for you to see your daily revenue by product and track your accounting easily. That means you can see, every day, exactly how much revenue comes in for each product and variant you offer.

Take a look at our help doc here.

New Revenue Report

This report breaks down your revenue by month and product (both for subscription-based and, if applicable, one-time products). That allows you to see exactly how much is brought in, every month, for each product and variant you offer. Here’s how that will look:

You’ll be able to download our new Revenue Report from the Gross Revenue by Product page of your Cratejoy merchant portal.

To do that, just navigate to the Analytics option on the left sidebar of your merchant portal and select “General” from the dropdown menu. From there, select the “Revenue by Product” option.

When the Revenue by Product page loads, simply click the “Export” button in the top right corner to download your Revenue Report!

New Order Export

This updated export tool allows you to view order data in a more organized way, so you can better analyze trends and grow your sales. What’s more, it also includes additional data that wasn’t included in prior iterations, such as product variants, gift cards, and more.

You can find the updated Order Export by navigating to the “One-Time Orders” in your Cratejoy merchant portal. All you need to do is click the “Export” button in the top right corner and select “New Order Export CSV - Current Filter.”

If you would prefer to use the pre-existing Order Export, you can still find that in your merchant portal. Just click on “Legacy Order Export CSV - Current Filter” to access the previous version of the export.

Create New Orders with Cratejoy’s API

The Cratejoy API now offers the opportunity to create custom orders for one-time products, with the ability to choose the customer’s preferred payment and delivery address. This new feature uses our order data model. You can read more about creating orders through our API here.

Marketplace Product Order

Exciting news! Starting today, your Marketplace listing will reflect the order in which you list products -- and your product variants -- in your merchant portal.

In other words, you can choose the order in which your products and variants display on your Marketplace listing. All you need to do is drag and drop your subscription products and their variants into your preferred order in your merchant portal! This order will appear on your Marketplace listing as soon as you update their arrangement.

You can read more about this enhancement in this help doc.
